How about if you made $500.00 a week and put it in the bank to earn interest? Now, I could figure out the amount, but suffice it to say that would be a ghastly sum of cash. I bet you'd drop your lip (the one you just had lipo-suctioned for a better fit.
But let's make this simple. Let's say you earn $50K a year on the Internet. In twenty years, you'd have your million with some to spare. You can do this thing! Here's how:
Create a blog and tell people how to do something they find valuable. A good friend of mine writes how to journals for crochet and knitting. She's rolling in the dough! Another friend wrote a book about cappuccino brownies and she's making an absolutely stupendous amount of money.

Design a plan that will make profit for you, and provide answers for your readers. Solutions will bring buyers. Once you understand your readers, you'll know what products and services you can provide to solve their problems.
Sell merchandise online. Using the same old tried and true systems that other online marketers use, you can sell merchandise online and do it better by specializing in specific items. Everyone sells mass production merchandise, but what if you sold products related specifically to your topic? Can you imagine a chocolate store that sold old shoes? What if those shoes were made of chocolate (and NEW of course)? Recreate the wheel by finding a specialty and sticking to your exclusive market.
